Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Corban Psychology Ltd, which supplies PrecisionTeaching.uk, handles personal information connected with licence enquiries, purchases, administration and use of the service.
Information we collect
When a school or organisation requests or holds a licence, we may collect the organisation name, contact person's name and email address, billing address, postcode, purchase-order information, order notes, licence status, licence dates and related correspondence. Our web hosting may also process routine technical information such as IP addresses and server logs for security and operation of the website.
Why we use it
We use this information to respond to licence requests, administer orders and invoices, issue and manage licences, provide support, maintain security, keep appropriate business and accounting records, and communicate about the service.
Lawful bases
Depending on the context, processing is necessary for taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and for performing a contract; for compliance with legal obligations such as accounting and tax requirements; and for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting and improving the service. Where another lawful basis is required, we will use the basis appropriate to that processing.
Pupil data entered into the app
The current Precision Teaching application stores pupil records and probe information locally in the user's browser. It is not designed to send those pupil records to the PrecisionTeaching.uk licensing database. The school or organisation using the application is responsible for its own handling of pupil information entered locally, including access, retention, deletion, device security and its lawful basis for processing.
Who receives information
Information may be processed by service providers that support our hosting, email, IT, accounting or professional services where necessary. We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We retain licence, order, invoice and related business records for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the relationship and meet legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements. Enquiries that do not result in a purchase may be deleted earlier when no longer needed.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we hold. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Licence keys should be kept within the licensed organisation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Some rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions. You may contact us to exercise a right or ask a privacy question.
Complaints
Please contact us first if you have a concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
